It was in 2007 that I bought my first camera to take a few ‘holiday snaps’ during a trip to Asia. A serendipitous moment as I had discovered two new passions that would steer my life in a new direction; travel and photography.

After returning back home to the UK, every free moment outside of my 9-5 would be learning about photography. All I wanted to do was take pictures and explore the world. It seemed like a far away dream and my first goal was just to have a single image published in a Lonely Planet guidebook, the travel bible I’d been using myself. After a few years of teaching myself everything I could about photography and putting it into practice on trips away, I approached Lonely Planet, with some naivety only to learn that’s not the process to getting published with them. They did however. love my work, so offered me a 5-year contract.  My dream to become a travel photographer had become a reality before I even had a chance to blink.

The following years I went on to travel full time, photographing some 76 countries over 6 continents. Outside of Lonely Planet, my images have been published internationally, with highlights that include; National Geographic, BBC, Apple, Microsoft and TIME, both in editorials and campaigns.

I take a more photojournalistic approach to travel photography. I don’t manipulate my images with Photoshop to warp reality. I’m a fan of clean graphical-like compositions with a cinematic nod to colour theory. I want my work to be emotive and to tell stories through a single image.

In 2018, I joined lens pioneers Zeiss as an ambassador and creative consultant, working alongside some of my peers and personal inspirations in the industry.
